A DAY OF PACKRAFTING AND EXPLORING NATURE
From the river, we have the chance to explore the river bound wildlife. We search for beaver (bever) tracks or watch the buzzards (buizerd) above our head hunting for mice. If we are lucky, we can see the common kingfisher (ijsvogel) sitting on its favorite branch above the water.
Sustainability is key, so we prefer public transport and our own body (walking, paddling) to make the trip.
Packrafts are one-person, lightweight inflatable boats. Due to their stability on the water, they are much more accessible than canoes or kayaks. The whole packraft set (5 kg) is easily carried in a small backpack and transported on foot, by bike or by public transport. This makes the packraft the best compagnon du route for exploring lowland rivers. There is no previous experience needed to enjoy packrafting.
